Some Recent News: October edition

Though some of us here at The Center spent October creating this blog, others of us were being a little bit more newsworthy:

  • Our Senior Conservator of Paintings sums up her profession's code of ethics in four simple words, and then proceeds to explain, with the help of her colleagues, how it isn't quite as easy as that.
Northwestern's Medill Reports: Science Steps in for Second-chance Art

  • Our own Summer Street presented the morning seminar at the Inland Marine Underwriter's Association, titled, "Fine Art Conservation, Restoration, and Valuation."
As reported by the Insurance Services Network

  • A visitor to our loft headquarters gives a peek behind the scenes to gallery-goers as she marvels at the specialized work surfaces that the conservators use daily.
